Wonderfully designed trinket box is only marked Flori next to the applied floral design on the front. It is of the same design and construction as another trinket box we had come across which had a foil Made in Italy sticker on the bottom, however, this one is missing the sticker.
Box measures 1 5/8 inches tall and is 3 1/4 inches square. Done in what appears to be a chrome treatment around the top and hinges. Top opens up to reveal a recessed central area which is 3/4 inches deep.

These individual casserole dishes were manufactured by Stangl Pottery in Trenton, NJ.
Casseroles measure 4 1/4 inches in diameter across the tops, and are approximately 2 inches in height. Done on a mint green/grayish exterior with brown/clay colored interiors, and hand painted flowers.
These casseroles are in great condition. We do want to note, that the one casserole has a line that extends down the body from the rim of the casserole. This looks to have occurred during the manufacturing process, rather than aftermarket damage/crack. The line is fully under the glaze, it does not go through to the interior, and it is not rough to the touch.
These are nice examples of Stangl Pottery and would complement any collection, as well as being functional pieces.
Doranne is one of the many pottery companies known for California Pottery. They were in business from the 1950's through the 1980's and were located in Los Angeles.
This generously sized serving platter measures 15 inches long by 10 1/2 inches wide. Inset design is what's known as the Tree of Life pattern. Circular inset area is designed for collecting juices/gravy when used for serving meat.
The platter is done in a lilac coloring, which is still very bright and vivid. The glaze is nice and shiny.
There are no major damage issues with this piece, however, we do want to note the following imperfections. There is a tiny flake at the rim in the rope design edging. This is hardly noticeable, but we wanted to report this for accuracy. Our one close up picture of the edge shows the area in question. There is also some minor specs/stains on the surface, which does not detract from the appeal. Lastly, there is some roughness under the base. This does not effect the functionality of this piece.
Nice, uncommonly colored piece, which would also serve well as a display piece if you prefer not to use as a serving platter.

This wonderful condition porcelain music box was produced by Schmid in 1978 based on Beatrix Potter's Duchess character in the story The Pie and the Patty Man. Duchess is a Pomeranian dog whose character was based on fond memories of a dog Beatrix Potter had encountered during her childhood.

Beatrix Potter's name is incised into the back of the base, and the Schmid name is stamped on the bottom along with Handpainted. There is also the name of the importer/distributor, F. Warne & Co., New York and London. Duchess also has the original hang tag, which tells the story of the piece.

This rare advertising piece was made by McCoy Pottery as part of their advertising line of pitcher for various company in the 1970's.
Pottery pitcher stands 6 1/4 inches tall and is 7 1/4 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the outer most area of the handle. Done in an ivory color with gold band accent at top and blue print. Design is that of a man in a top hat who has constructed a sailboat out of a Jim Beam bottle, and has named his boat Beam's Choice. Printed words read: Hudson River Jim Beam Bottle Club - 1st Anniversary November 1977.
The original sticker is in place from the distributor at the bottom, Monroe Mugs, Monroe, NY. Sticker is placed over the McCoy impression, and we wanted to keep everything intact as found.
Piece is in fantastic shape, with no damage issues, and appears to have been used only for display. Handle does have a glaze skip/area of roughness in the glaze at the top near the mouth which occurred during the manufacturing process. Some areas of roughness are present underneath the base, which do not effect the integrity of the piece.
This wonderful pitcher appeals to a wide variety of collectors, from the McCoy collector, the Jim Beam collector, the Advertising collector, or the Historical collector.
The description on the backside of this 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch United Airlines Kodachrome postcard tells of the DC 6 and the DC 6B linking the East and Midwest with the West and Pacific coast.
The color photo postcard was sent from San Diego, California in 1964. Notice how formally people dressed when they flew on planes back then. Quite a contrast with the majority from today’s travelers!
